Playtime Yoga for Kids

October 03, 2014

Did you know your children are not too young to learn yoga? It’s actually a great way to help kids calm down, learn balance, increase strength and flexibility, and have fun. Yoga for toddlers and preschoolers also teaches valuable relaxation techniques for children.

Namaste Kid

At Happy Day Academy, we use the Namaste Kid program. Beginning with Once Upon a Mat for children who are 2.5+ years of age. The program takes your child on exciting yoga adventures, including an African safari, a trip to outer space, and getting caught in a thunderstorm! Once Upon a Mat helps children exercise their bodies and expand their imaginations. Your little yogi will become a part of this adventure through real yoga poses and guided breathing.

Join in the Fun

Parents are welcome to either observe or participate on the mat with their child. Yoga mats will be provided but please feel free to bring your own!
